Austin has spent his life growing up and being part of the English countryside. From a very early age wildlife and the natural environment has been a fascination for him. It was therefore only natural that he progressed to working with wildlife.
After completing his first degree in Environmental Science, Austin worked for The Game Conservancy Trust as a wildlife researcher for three years. Whilst with the Game Conservancy he specialised in the developement of predator control methods, in addition to this Austin had the opportunity to work on gamebird radio tracking projects throughout southern England. This gave Austin an excellent starting block to a career in hunting and game management.
Austin has always been facinated by deer and other large game animals from both a hunting and conservation perspective. The creation of deerstalking4all was born from a dream not just to sell hunting and stalking trips but to educate sportsmen to ethical sustainable hunting practices.
Austin has over the last two years completed hunting apprenticeships in Namibia and Tanzania with respected outfitters and has hunted a variety of game species around the world. Austin has recently furthered himself by completing a masters degree in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. He is also very keen on the use of tracking dogs for recovering wounded large game animals.
